My name is Márcia Sousa, and I have been working as a teacher since 2010. Initially, I started with private, face-to-face lessons, and then moved on to group lessons. However, in 2015, I met a person who had a health problem that kept him confined to his home and unable to leave without assistance. Since he lived far from me, he suggested we try online lessons instead. At first, I was hesitant, but to my surprise, the online lessons turned out to be just as effective as face-to-face lessons, if not better. Over time, I improved my use of digital tools and developed an efficient method that works very well.

As a beginner student of the Portuguese language, I took a course of one-to-one online classes with Marcia. They gave me a solid grounding with lessons quickly adapted to my learning speed and ability. Marcia is a friendly teacher who encourages her students to learn and ask questions. I had private lessons with Marcia because i wanted to learn the Portuguese language and i don't regret at all. I really think that Marcia is a great teacher. I recommend her because she is patient, nice and organized. You can ask her all the questions you want, she will take time and will be clear in her explanations. Moreover, you can feel she likes to teach and so it was with pleasure that i went to the lessons. Thanks to her, i learnt a lot particularly in the grammar part. We had two different format lessons : face to face lessons and Skype online lessons. In my opinion, there isn't format better than the other, they both were good for me. The Skype lessons format is just probably more adapted for the people who don't have a lot of time in their time schedule. She gives sometimes homework which forces you to do some exercises at home. Then, she takes time to correct it. Thank you very much for all!
